I have always loved painting with Watercolors. Originally I only worked in the studio but over the years began to do quick on-site watercolor sketches outside, IE Plein Air. These then inform many of my larger studio paintings. With over 35 years of painting experience only a small portion of my paintings are shown here. Updating my website is not nearly as fun as painting, so if you don’t see what you are looking for, send me an email.
And if you want to start painting with watercolors yourself but are not sure where to begin, ask me. Besides painting and teaching I love finding new subjects to paint here and around the world.
Thanks for visiting. Hope you enjoy looking at my Artwork, About the Artist, more.
WORK IN PROGRESS: Mountains near Mammoth Lakes, CA, from high desert.
What’s Happening?
This is the start of a painting of the eastern side of the mountains as seen from the high desert. The spot is a short drive from Mammoth Lakes.
I recently returned from another great trip to California and Mammoth Lakes. The best part of these trips is spending time with my young grandson. He turns four in early December. We even did a little bit of painting together.
Back here in the Seattle area there was a mini show of my remaining Pacific Lighthouses Series in late Spring.
