Welcome to my website. I am drawn to creating art for the pure delight and enjoyment of the process. My first and primary love is the Medium of Watercolors. Plein Air and on-site quick watercolor sketches help inform many of my larger studio paintings. My inspirations come from my love of being outdoors, hiking and camping, and having gotten to live and/or travel in some very interesting places. Check out About the Artist to learn more. I have also recently been having fun using solar activated dyes on fabric. I will or will have added some of those results under ‘More Art’. See below to sign up for my email Newsletter.

Updates from Sue!
It has been over a month since I returned from a trip with family to Olympic Valley and Lake Tahoe. Full summer is now here in the Pacific Northwest. I did a tiny demo for the Edmonds Art Walk and enjoyed Edmonds Sketcher Fest. So much to paint or sketch. The views of Puget Sound and the Ferries coming into Edmonds are splendid. I continue working on the California Oak Trees Series and have started a couple of the twelve new paintings needed for my 2025 calendar.
