Historic Halfway House USCG
Unframed 11 by 15 Watercolor
This Historic Half Way House was one of many along the Atlantic facing beaches of the Cape Cod. Local volunteers and then Coast Guardsmen would come to the aid of any sailing vessels that floundered on the ever shifting shoals and bars. The name comes later from the fact that these shelters were situated half way between USCG Lifesaving Stations.
