The first Race Point Light was built in 1816. It was replaced in 1875 with a cast iron tower and was automated in 1978.. Of two original Keeper’s houses only the smaller one remains. Race Point Lighthouse can be seen in the distance from Province Lands Visitor Center and reached by a two-mile hike from the parking area at Race Point Beach.
